Dr. Uday Pareek- Father of HRD Movement in India
With profound grief I regret to inform you that our Senior Patron and Management Guru Prof Uday Pareek has passed away at the age of 86 on Sunday 21st March 2010.
Prof. Uday Pareek is known as the father of HRD movement in India and his contribution to nation and professional field has been acknowledged by several national awards by various organizations. Everyone would admit that " India has lost yet another invaluable son". He had authored or edited about 50 books and more than 350 papers and his work has been cited in a large number of national and international biographical reference books.
Dr. Pareek was holding board level positions and was also involved as visiting professor in many institutes of national and international repute. He was the only Asian to become Fellow of the National Training Laboratories (NTL), USA. He was actively involved in publishing/ editing many professional journal in his pursuit of building HRD in India. He had supported HRD movement by his aassociation with many national as well as international projects.
His demise is a big loss to HRD movement in India and to HR fraternity. His association with NHRDN dates back to its inception, and he has contributed significantly in shaping up the network as it stands today by serving in various capacities. He was on the Governing board of National HRD Network.
The entire NHRD Network and core team members pay our deep condolences and pray to God that the departed soul may rest in peace.
