Event Account brief
National HRD network was proud to host Delhi chapter’s first special event in Gurgaon “The Mumbai Dabbawalas” on 14th of September 2009 at EPI CENTER. The event started with the Hony. Secretary of the Delhi Chapter, Mr. Anubhab Goel welcoming the audience of approx 200 + and recitation of NHRDN Code of Conduct. National HRD Network (NHRDN), the apex body of HR professionals in India wanted to shift the focus of its events from South Delhi to Gurgaon and reduce centralization by incorporating more events in diverse places. As previously all the chapters had been held in South Delhi, there was an urgent need to bring NCR region into the fold in order to initiate focus within people located in Gurgaon. The firm felt the views expressed in the chapter would be more meaningful. As last year the membership of the chapter was utilized at 15%, it was felt this would increase it more.
Mr. Siddiqui then shared some thoughts on the work done by the immediate past president at the national level Mr. Aqil Busrai and how that work must be carried upon by an equally competent person. He then gave a brief introduction about the upcoming president Mr. N.S Rajan by pointing out his valuable experiences with Ernst and Young. He hoped that Mr. Rajan could use the experience to help achieve the goals that the organization has set for itself. Then he invited both, the outgoing president Mr.Aqil Busrai and the upcoming president Mr. M. S Rajan for floral felicitation.
Mr. Bawa then gave the task of introducing the Mumbai Dabbawalas, “Indian Management at its Best- Small People Great Work”, whose success has amazed supply chain management gurus around the world. Their Guru Mantra about Leadership, Planning and Strategic Management has been appreciated by all professionals and corporate across the globe.
